My husband’s scans don’t show any new growth or increase in size in liver lesions. Colon tumor was removed in 11/2016 yet his CEA keeps creeping up. It was 78 a year ago and now over 200. Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you. [...]

My husband has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He had surgery done and tumor removed. Mets to the lungs. Had 2 chemo therapy to date.
No serious side effects except tingling in the fingers for a few days. His white blood count is very low at the moment.

Thanks for sharing. Lung surgery has been postponed for now and instead start chemo again Monday. Will go sic sessions and see how the lung spots respond. May follow up with radiation but apparently the tumor board decided major lung surgery was not warrented right now. Stocking up on chemo

I'm Carol, a moderator here. People;e with a family history of colon cancer and who get colon cancer when they're under 50 yrs of age frequently do have it because of the genetic mutation. Switching to an organic diet is not going to make a difference in your sister's

I'm Carol, one of the moderators here. Yes, I've heard a lot of colorectal cancer patients say that. Some ovarian cancer patients are told that. Chemo would be at a maintenance dose, lower than with active cancer treatment. Right now, don't dwell on it. No one knows what the future

Your father should look into applying for disability. If his employer provides it, he can find out how much he would be paid for out. It can be about 60% of a normal paycheck, sometimes a little higher. He can apply for Social Security disability (SSDI). There's a list

Following chemo some individuals blood counts recover better than others. There is nothing that i know of that is used to generally make both go back up. A low number however is typically only a problem once it decreases beyond a certain threshold. For example a low WBC increase your
