I have stage 4 colorectal cancer with lung mets. I'm 2 1/2 years out from diagnosis. When I first asked about surgery my onc consulted a general surgeon(we live in a rural community) my onc comes to our local hospital to give treatment. They said my cancer was down too

Hi Dmom,
Not everyone, even those with the same diagnosis, get the same treatment. Places cancer has metastasized to can change the kind of drugs that a patient is getting. Given where her mets are, her protocol will probably be rough.

Hi Carol,
I just completed my 5th and final round of chemo on Sunday-hooray! The side effects were so non-existent on the lowered dose the 2nd round that they increased my pills from 2 to 3 for the subsequent 3 rounds.
