Thank you for your reply Carol!!  We have actually come up with a plan of action when he starts treatments again tomorrow---I too believe that it's do to increase inflammation from the xeloda that is causing blockage.  We are going to be juicing and drinking protein shakes approximately 8-10 days

I would recommend an NCCN cancer center - these are the docs that write the (evidence-based) treatment guidelines. Their patient site is: https://www.nccn.org/patients/ and you can find the list of cancer centers at:https://www.nccn.org/patients/about/member_institutions/qualities.aspx

These centers are each independent of each other but treat by these standards - also where you are
