Just wondering if anyone can tell me what can be done for a friend who has developed an adhesive allergy and is going to need a colostomy bag. The doctor doubts the allergy but non latex and latex bandaids leave red swollen welts. I know allergy to adhesive is real

Hi, I think that is a question only your doctor(s) can answer b/c he or she is the only one who knows your health history and current condition. Has anyone else had both of these procedures and can give some perspective on how the timing of the procedures affects recovery

My husband was diagnosed last June 2014 and he has colon cancer, he is inoperable but did 12 rounds with oxilaplatin, 5 FU and avastin
He had over 80 percent shrinkage in tumors (metastatic)
Did another 12 rounds with Irenotecan and is now on maintenance
With 5 FU and Avastin

I'm Carol, a moderator here. Oxaliplatin is nasty, but so is cancer. One of your lymph nodes was positive for cancer, that means the cell(s) spread. Radiation can hit that, but as your doctor said, he wants to get any cells that you can't see. I'd rather take anything

We have been treating neuropathy for the past 2-3 years at our physical therapy clinic MaxWelltherapy.com utilizing and electrical stimulation device. Although every client is different, we have had some remarkable improvement and reduction in pain. I hate to see people in pain when they don't have to be.
